You might not have thought of it, but yes, you still need fax. It’s accepted as legally binding in a way e-mails aren’t, and it’s still part of an overall unified communications plan for a business. And the ability to add designated fax lines for less than ten bucks a month, or to sign up for the company's fully featured virtual fax service for paperless faxing for the same price, well, it’s hard to beat that.
ITP VoIP is a company selling home and business VoIP calling options, and they’ll be showcasing their new Internet phone fax extensions, including both traditional and digital faxing plans.
The dedicated fax line package the company’s offering includes “a free dedicated phone number that clients can customize to nearly any local area code in the U.S.,” company officials say, adding that ITP VoIP customers “will also get 250 pages of free faxing each month and online account management.”
“Faxing is alive and well these days,” TMC (News - Alert) noted last month. “It may be amazing to some readers that faxing still occurs. But it does in a business environment. For instance, at my workplace, we get a spam fax every single day from a deli saying what their specials are for that day. Unfortunately, it’s for a deli that is 100 miles away! But seriously, quoting pricing and order confirmations still occur this way in certain businesses. Some financial institutions use them as well. And legal and health companies still use fax too.”
So there you go. But not all homes or business have physical fax machines these days, as company officials note, which is why they offer an option for customers “to send and receive faxes via email for an even more convenient way of faxing. With this feature clients can send faxes from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection, and faxes can be received at up to three separate email accounts per customer.”
