By Eve Sullivan, TMCnet Editor

Ipswitch (News - Alert), Inc.’s File Transfer division is aligning its business by integrating the WS_FTP and MOVEit product lines more closely, which will include creating single, integrated organizations for customer support and professional services, R&D, and product management.

MOVEit became part of the File Transfer division when the company acquired Standard Networks in January.

“The File Transfer division experienced a record year in 2007 and we continue to see accelerated growth across all our business metrics in the first half of this year,” said Gary Shottes, president, Ipswitch File Transfer division. “The market is clearly embracing our approach to dramatically improving the secure transfer of data. In order to realize our full-market potential, we are integrating our product lines to more closely align our MOVEit product group within the Ipswitch File Transfer brand. Together, our outstanding leadership team will drive our growth for 2008 and beyond.”

The File Transfer division develops and markets a wide range of managed file transfer solutions. For more than 15 years, Ipswitch brands have delivered industry-leading secure file transfer solutions to more than 40 million users.
