First Female CEO Joins DIDXchange

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

As wholesale direct inward dialing specialist DIDXchange has continued to evolve in recent years with new technologies and services, it has also added to its roster of diverse clients. Now, the Florida-based company has added another high profile client to its lineup, as Sandra Ximena Diaz Hoyos, its first female CEO and president, joins DIDXchange (News - Alert) (News - Alert).

In 2005, Diaz Hoyos, while at Smart Network Solutions, was officially recognized as the first female CEO in the "Technology of Telecommunications Business."

DIDXchange is widely considered the world’s largest wholesale direct inward dialing marketplace with 12,500 other service providers that buy and sell local and international phone numbers.

Smart Network Solutions (News - Alert) was recently named as one of the most innovative multi-national firms in South Florida by "World City Business" magazine.

“Technology plays such an important part of the huge network developed to make the world barriers disappear and in the day-to-day communications,” said Diaz Hoyos, adding that being part of one of the most successful companies in Florida is a complete team effort undertaken with business partners, Sandra Valencia and Carolina Diaz.

“But most importantly I believe soon enough we will be able to get a huge network of telecommunications technology linked to each other around the globe because of DIDXchange and other enabling wholesale technologies,” said Diaz Hoyos.

Miami-based Smart Network Solutions (News - Alert) offers consultancy services in the telecommunications market. The company integrates solutions in the IP technology and develops turnkey telecommunication projects, ensuring a competitive environment and the growth at the international level of all its customers, according to Diaz Hoyos.

Diaz Hoyos also said the DIDXchange is helping the company develop its business further into an already completive DID marketplace.

DIDX provides an exchange of Direct Inward Dialing and DDI numbers. The company created new vertical markets for CLEC, ILEC and local regional telecoms to make revenue from their pool of allocated DDI numbers.

While DID numbers are designed to assist wholesale service providers of VoIP communications to connect to the PSTN, they also cast a wider net bringing with it the potential ability to connect SIP, instant messengers and social community portals.

DIDX exchange enables users to sell and/or to purchase DID phone numbers of any country in the world.

Diaz Hoyos was named as the most successful Colombian business entrepreneur in the United States in 2008 by Legis International magazine and also was given the Colombian Most Successful Women Achievement by the Chamber of Commerce in Miami, Florida.

She received an MBA at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom and Masters of Strategic Management for Top level executives in Los Andes University in Spain. In addition, she earned a Master in Strategic Marketing in Javeriana University, Colombia, South America.
