Ipreo Launches BD for Customer Service Software Application

Ipreo, a provider of productivity and market intelligence solutions to corporations and investment banks, has revealed BD for Salesforce CRM – the latest addition to the company’s BD Suite, a group of CRM and prospecting applications. This new application is powered by the company’s acclaimed Bigdough institutional-contact database, and as such integrates the company’s investor-marketing and institutional-data solutions with Salesforce CRM.


BD for Salesforce CRM offers users advanced features. Users can pore over, manipulate and manage important Bigdough information on both prospects and customers within Salesforce CRM itself. This greatly increases the value of such an application for professionals working in the capital markets industry.

Ipreo’s Bigdough database has been acclaimed as the leading source for investor profile and institutional contact data. It covers more than 100,000 equity and fixed-income contacts working in more than 22,000 firms and in 127 countries. Ipreo’s BD Suite of CRM and prospecting platforms is used by global capital markets professionals to access the company’s data. Corporate investor relations professionals utilize BD Corporate, whereas research, trading and sales professionals use BD Vision and BD Advanced.

Paul Hebert, EVP and managing director, global capital market sales, at Ipreo, said that through its delivery of BD for Salesforce CRM, Ipreo continues to serve the needs of the capital markets community. Salesforce CRM users can now also get direct access to Ipreo’s winning functionality and data.

Kendall Collins, chief marketing officer of Salesforce.com, said that the company’s AppExchange 2 can easily be used by global capital markets professionals to locate cloud computing apps that were designed to satisfy their specific business needs. BD for Salesforce, he said, is an affordable and easy-to-use cloud computing solution.

Irene Neumansky, director of technology at OTR Global, an industry-intelligence provider, said that Ipreo’s Bigdough has been instrumental in OTR Global’s ability to meet the research needs of institutional investors. OTR Global has identified BD for Salesforce as a platform that is capable of changing with the company’s changing needs. When combined with Salesforce CRM, Bigdough, she said, will bolster information sharing and team collaboration.
