Smead Reduces Costs with New Customer Service Software

Smead has switched from Salesforce.com (News - Alert) to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.


The privately held Smead is known for its high-quality, environmentally responsible organizational home and office systems. According to Microsoft (News - Alert) Smead experienced a 75 percent reduction in its annual subscription cost in one month since switching CRM systems.

Other benefits include increased user adoption by 20 percent, improved collaboration among employees and better business intelligence for Smead’s managers.

Switching to Microsoft Dynamics CRM has resulted in seamless interoperability for Smead. This move has also given its employees a familiar experience as the company was already using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft SharePoint.

By leveraging features such as the native Microsoft Outlook experience, integrated contextual CRM Ribbon, Role Tailored design and flexibility, the company was able to personalize the user experience within the application.

This has also reduced the learning curve for this solution and improved the overall productivity of employees at the company.
