Cross-channel commerce solutions and retail technology provider CrossView announced that outdoor specialty retailer and longtime client Moosejaw has won Retail TouchPoints’ Customer Engagement Award.
This is Retail TouchPoints first Customer Engagement award. Company officials said that it is honoring Moosejaw as a retail innovator that has successfully implemented unique and creative customer engagement strategies.
Moosejaw was recognized for its use of CrossView’s mobile point of sale technology. Recently, the technology was deployed in all of the retailer’s stores.
Debbie Hauss, editor-in-chief at Retail TouchPoints, said that Moosejaw is a “clear leader” in using technology like CrossView’s to engage customers and create a superior experience – that’s what this award recognizes.
In addition to ability to collect, analyze, share and respond to customer feedback; ability to collect, analyze and share shopper data across all participating channels, the other criteria used to assess winners are the implementation of successful social media strategies; implementation of successful mobile strategies and technologies; in-store customer engagement success, including self-serve offerings, improved POS, digital signage, QR codes and more.
Additional criteria include successful and innovative loyalty programs and systems integration including promotion, order management and sales history.
“It’s all about the interaction with our customer before, during and after an order is placed,” said Harvey Kanter, president and CEO at Moosejaw, adding that the whole element of branding isn't just a piece of one component; it's embedded in the DNA.
Kanter said that the Customer Engagement Award recognizes the success the company had and the CrossView technology that has been a critical component of that success. “It’s really about the channel-agnostic experience, which is driven technologically with CrossView's platform and IBM WebSphere.”
“Our website, our customer service center, our mobile site and all of our POS -- they're all really the one database being rendered with the appropriate content for the specific area,” Kanter said.
CrossView is a provider of cross-channel commerce solutions and services that enable a smarter, more personalized shopping experience.
Recently, the company announced that it is demonstrating its cross-channel commerce platform at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Annual Convention & EXPO in New York City, Jan. 16-17.
