NetSuite, Hein & Associates Team to Bring Customized Financial, ERP, CRM Solutions to Specific Industries

By Patrick Barnard, Senior Web Editor, TMCnet

Hein & Associates, a full-service public accounting and advisory firm, has established a partnership with business software provider NetSuite to provide organizations with a range of customized accounting and regulatory compliance solutions. These new, industry-specific, customized solutions will be powered by NetSuite's (News - Alert) cloud-based applications for financials, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM).

Using expertise from Hein & Associates’ professional consultants, the two companies will deliver sophisticated, vertically-focused solutions for needs ranging from tax and financial reporting to growth plan development to NetSuite users. These specialized solutions will be geared for companies operating in the technology, manufacturing, distribution and energy industries.

One of the main advantages of delivering these customized solutions via NetSuite’s cloud computing platform is that they will be automatically updated in the event new compliance regulations are enacted – not just here in the U.S., but also in the various countries where NetSuite customers are doing business. In addition the applications will be automatically updated as per newly-introduced or redefined “best practices.” Implementations provided by Hein will leverage the company’s expertise in GAAP, IFRS, SEC (News - Alert) Compliance and internal controls.

'Hein works with many public and larger private companies, so we wanted to partner with an organization that could support the complex operational and regulatory compliance that these companies require,” explained Larry Unruh, managing partner Hein & Associates, in a release. “But it also needed to be easy enough to configure that our professionals could layer their internal controls, audit, and industry expertise on top of the system without the need for a developer.'

'We're very excited to partner with NetSuite because this system addresses both of these points,” Unruh added. “Our focus is on providing customized solutions that exceed our client's expectations, and NetSuite's software allows us to continue doing that.”

NetSuite customers will also benefit from Hein's deep understanding of the specific requirements companies need to be competitive in their industry.

With offices in Denver, Dallas, Houston, and Irvine, Calif., Hein & Associates is ranked by Accounting Today as one of the 60 top accounting firms in the country. The company's SEC practice is recognized as among the largest in the country by Public Accounting Report. The firm is also consistently recognized as a 'Best-of-the-Best' by Inside Public Accounting.

CRM solutions provider NetSuite made news last week when it announced that RedBuilt LLC, a supplier of engineered wood products for the commercial and multi-family construction industry, had switched from SAP (News - Alert) to NetSuite to better meet its ERP financial management needs.

NetSuite claims RedBuilt “is the largest company to date” to make the switch from SAP to NetSuite’s cloud-based business software. According to a press release, RedBuilt made the transition in less than three months (86 days, to be exact), thanks mostly to the fact that NetSuite’s cloud-based software is fast and easy to deploy, requiring no upfront investment in software licenses, new hardware or network infrastructure. Also speeding implementation time is the fact that NetSuite offers out-of-the-box integration with other leading business software and systems.
