Sales management consultancy firm Doble Group, LLC, has partnered with cloud computing service provider Salesforce.com, saying it would promote adoption of cloud computing in the Caribbean and Central America regions.
Miami, FL-based Doble Group said it would leverage its clout in important industries across the region, encouraging companies to adopt Salesforce CRM and Chatter, a newly launched social collaboration application.
Salesforce.com’s (News - Alert) cloud computing solutions and software applications can be customized to fit any businesses needs. (The cloud refers to groups of servers from which software is hosted.)
Businesses adopt them to save money and time as they can access applications through these servers instead of installing software on their own network. Slowly, businesses can outsource much of their information technology, saving lot of capital and resources.
Saleforce.com’s Chatter service is akin to the one offered by social networking site Facebook (News - Alert), which allows employees to sign up with a company e-mail account and use the space to share information and files with other employees or companies.
Chatter was in fact made available to Salesforce customers in July, but the company has recently made it public.
“Doble Group is looking to help companies in the region improve the effectiveness of their sales, marketing and customer services processes through the adoption of recognized cloud based applications from salesforce.com,” said Mariano J. Doble, CEO of Doble Group, LLC.
Cloud computing suits well to countries in Central America and Caribbean islands, where companies are looking for an edge to survive the competition in a fast changing market economy.
