Durability a Key Consideration when Selecting Contact Center Headsets

By Patrick Barnard, Group Managing Editor, TMCnet

Looking for a durable, high performance headset for your contact center agents that won’t break the bank?
Consider the Sennheiser CC 510. The over-the-head monaural headset provides excellent sound quality and is comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time.

The specially padded ear cup not only makes this headset more comfortable, it also blocks out external noise, a key consideration for any busy contact center environment.

Like the other contact center headsets offered through Sennheiser, the CC 510 features the company’s patented ActiveGard technology, which safeguards agents from the effects of “acoustic burst,” or sudden spikes in volume.

In addition the 300 degree adjustable microphone boom allows the microphone to be positioned exactly for optimal speech clarity. Teflon washer support increases positioning accuracy, stability and ensures durability.

What’s more, Sennheiser’s Ultra Noise Canceling technology blocks out ambient noise, making your agents easier to understand.

Best of all, this headset is highly durable – which is important when you consider that contact center headsets tend to take a beating (after all, the agents don’t own the headsets, you do!). By investing in better quality construction, companies don’t have to worry about headsets failing while agents are mid-interaction – or having a shortage of headsets when they start breaking. In general, contact center headset quality is not a smart place to be cutting corners.

Each CC 510 headset includes a carry bag; three colored identification clips; leatherette ear pad; single sided headband with side support; acoustic foam ear pad; clothing clip; and microphone windscreen.
