Telehouse West, the latest addition to the Telehouse family’s extensive network of premium data centers and colocation facilities around the word, added even more space last month.

Telehouse West, which opened in March of 2010, is Telehouse’s fourth state-of-the-art data center in the UK, offering colocation space, 2 MMRs (Meet-Me-Rooms) and access to our refined range of managed services. Since opening its doors in April of 2010, “this state of the art data center began to spark the interest of various businesses of all sizes,” Telehouse officials explain.

In order to meet increasing demand, the fifth floor in the Telehouse West building will now be utilized to provide 925 square meters of premier colocation space. The space can be used to house customers’ mission-critical systems in a high-quality shared or dedicated data center environment.

So who stands to benefit most from this expansion? Telecom providers, financial institutions, media companies, and SMEs.

“Managed suites are especially ideal for companies looking to expand and grow,” officials explained in a recent newsletter.

Telehouse West is a nine story data center with 19,000 square meters of technical and customer space. A secure data center environment is available to each of the five tenant floors. It brings the total amount of power at the Docklands site to a 40 MVA.

Other notable features include: access to 60 reputable carriers; N+1 redundant standby generators with a minimum of 24 hours autonomy at full capacity; standard generators with a minimum of 24 hours autonomy at full capacity; 8 x 2.5MVA 11kV Generators; two (N+1) redundant UPS floor by floor; redundant A & B power feeds to customer equipment; 6 x 2.7MW chillers N+2 configuration; hot aisle/cold aisle zone design; and 900mm raised floor design with airflow space to provide the most efficient cooling
