Colocation Company Shares Excitement over Customer's News

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

Telehouse, a pioneer in data center and colocation facilities, recently celebrated some good news with its customer ContextWeb, provider of real-time contextual advertising solutions, when the company received a patent for its Real-Time Classifier, the leading solution for real-time contextual targeting of digital media.

The Real-Time Classifier, which was first developed 10 years ago, is a piece of “smart technology” that provides advertisers and publishers with more value and control of advertising placement and the bidding process. ContextWeb has differentiated itself as the only provider in the digital media contextualization space with a patented technology.

“The Real-Time Classifier has been architected from the ground up to curate online digital content in real time by delivering extremely granular content categorization,” said Tim Murray, CEO of ContextWeb, in Telehouse’s newsletter. “We are very proud of a technology that, together with our outstanding team, enables us to deliver superior service. It’s the culmination of a considerable investment of time, money and engineering that has allowed us to be at the forefront of helping advertisers and publishers reach their desired audiences.”

The Real-Time Classifier scans each individual page of content presented and categorizes that content into more than 400 Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)-compliant categories. This refined categorization process guarantees that an ad is placed where an identified audience consuming very specific content can be targeted, according to company officials.

Advertisers, in particular, can reap significant benefits from the patented product as they can rely on Real-Time Classifier’s capabilities to scale audience and reach a broader market through the types of content they consume.

In related news, Telehouse is gearing up for International Telecoms Week (ITW), held May 23-25 in Washington D.C.

“ITW is the only event which combines Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 carriers, mobile/wireless operators, ISPs, VoIP providers and technology partners from voice, data, satellite, sub-sea, and fixed line markets,” Fred Cannone (News - Alert), director of sales and marketing for Telehouse, told TMCnet. “As a global carrier neutral data center provider, Telehouse is always interested in opportunities to meet with and showcase our facilities, with service offerings, to these existing and potential customers-vendors and partners.”

Telehouse, a pioneer in data center and colocation facilities, will join Telehouse Europe from May 23-25 in Washington D.C. for ITW 2011, a week that serves as a meeting point for the global wholesale telecommunications community to buy and sell both voice and data products and services.
