TargetX Adds Five New Schools to Cloud CRM Clientele

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

TargetX, a provider of cloud CRM solutions for the higher education market, has added five new schools to its cloud CRM system clientele. Its cloud CRM solution allows schools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their student recruitment and enrollment management.

The new customers include Columbus State University in Georgia, Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, Seattle University in Washington, The King's College in New York and University of the Pacific in California.

"Recruitment CRM" from TargetX helps colleges manage, integrate and automate the process of student recruitment from the first point of contact through enrollment. The solution comes with powerful capabilities such as e-mail broadcasting. It also integrates with a powerful event manager and online application.

TargetX flagship product, according to company officials, is the first CRM built expressly for higher education on the development platform of Salesforce.com (News - Alert), a provider of CRM and cloud computing solutions.

TargetX also recently introduced the latest event tool, Events v5. The company also announced the availability of "Communities," an online platform that extends the capabilities of Salesforce's popular "Chatter" social networking tool.

The Communities platform is beneficial to colleges as it allows them to build fully branded public or private networks that connect any of their constituencies, such as prospective students, alumni and staff, the company said.

The Salesforce's Communities benefit TargetX clients from having their CRM built on the Force.com platform. Enhancements developed by Salesforce can be passed along to users of the TargetX system.

"Our connection with Salesforce offers a huge benefit to users of our products," said CEO Brian Niles. "We're offering an environment that provides automatic upgrades to our clients, whether the developments come from us or from Salesforce."

In addition to this, the cloud CRM company also announced it is creating a CRM Community for clients so they can collaborate with TargetX staff and with other client schools.

The CRM community allows customers to be more involved with their colleagues as well as TargetX.

“They can get answers about CRM or best practices from the entire community,” said Niles. “It's a kind of crowdsourced support for our community of CRM users."
