Intermountain Soft Water Streamlines Efficiency, Cuts Costs with NetSuite's Business Software

As one of the oldest continuously-held water improvement companies in the United States, Intermountain Soft Water is a recognized leader in the Utah water improvement industry. The company was facing a number of challenges, however, as high costs and clumsy processes made its Microsoft (News - Alert)Dynamics GP implementation a burden.

At the same time, integration with another Microsoft product, MS CRM, was cumbersome and would require ongoing management. The company needed to implement a Web-based application that could accommodate CRM, inventory, accounting and scheduling of services events and vehicles.

Intermountain Soft Water was using the MS Great Plains and MS CRM solutions, but each one required too much time and complexity, which would translate into excessive time and expense on in-house and outsourced expertise. The company stood to gain the most from a relatively simple and easy transition from previous applications.

'We rely on having access to integrated data for many purposes, especially marketing and relationship management, but our Microsoft Dynamics GP solution was difficult, costly, and time-consuming,' said Greg Reyneke, Intermountain Soft Water General Manager.

To address these challenges, Intermountain Soft Water switched to cloud-based business software provider NetSuite (News - Alert). 'After migrating to NetSuite's comprehensive web-based solution, we discovered the intuitive simplicity of relationship marketing with NetSuite. I am very pleased with the NetSuite platform and the peace of mind it gives me,' Rayneke said in a new customer case study posted to NetSuite's website.

NetSuite Professionals Services and training was described by Intermountain Soft Water as 'excellent' and helped the company get up to speed quickly. Intermountain enjoyed a number of other benefits as a result of the switch to NetSuite, including saving $50,000 a year on computing infrastructure and hardware maintenance. Savings realized in IT staff and support costs totaled $100,000 per year.

The ability to access NetSuite's cloud-based business software from anywhere helps the company to save countless hours. Field sales technicians can access NetSuite from their trucks, eliminating the need to move to an onsite terminal. Intermountain staff is significantly more productive as a result of having all accounting and CRM information in one system.

Overall, the benefits derived from NetSuite's business software helped to justify the decision to make the change. Intermountain was able to enjoy measurable improvements and increased efficiency and productivity that impacted the bottom line.
