Interactive Intelligence, a provider of contact center, enterprise communications and business process automation solutions, was listed at the 16th spot out of 42 companies listed within the Indiana Chamber of Commerce's 'large companies' category. The company was also given the recognition of "best place to work,' for the fourth consecutive year.

The 2010 'Best Places to Work in Indiana' program is based on employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys which are used to determine the top companies in the state.

In a release, Indiana Chamber president, Kevin Brinegar, said  only companies which demonstrate strong workplace practices and ethics rooted in respect, teamwork and good communication make it to the "best place to work" category. Employers at these companies value their employees and understand that making their employees feel respected and valued is essential for the success of the organization Brinegar added.

Brown said he believes that a major contributing factor to the company's success lies in the fact that they have been able to attract smart, hard working people who are happy to continue serving the organization. Interactive Intelligence has also been named as one of the Indianapolis Business Journal's 'Top 25 Fastest Growing Public Companies, in addition to receiving the recognition of "United Way of Central Indiana 'Company that Cares,' and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce's 'Outstanding Employer of the Year.'
