Billing a Major Headache for Business Telecoms Customers

Businesses that use traditional telecoms systems are experiencing continued frustrations with accounts and billing, according to a latest research report prepared by Natterbox, a provider of hosted voice services in the U.K.


Natterbox said its market research suggests that billing problems are a major cause of frustration for business customers, with the complexity of reporting causing most of the hassles. Given the feedback that the company has received business customers are increasingly dissatisfied with the billing systems of traditional telecoms providers.

“In our view, particularly with voice communications becoming more complex and businesses adding additional telecoms features, customers deserve billing that is reliable and simple to digest,” said Neil Hammerton, CEO of Natterbox.Natterboxs’ data is backed up by a study conducted by Convergys Corporation, which found only 36 per cent of enterprise decision-makers rating their primary telecoms provider effective in providing billing that is accurate and easy to understand.Natterbox, which offers hosted services, says it is now gearing up to address these billing problems for business customers.

 Natterbox’s hosted services are such that they can be monitored and controlled by customers via a live Web control interface, which provides detailed and easy to understand reports and logs.

 The presentation and content of bills, according to Natterbox, can be highly customized to suit the needs of customers, with particular benefits for sectors like legal services, which require itemized accounts for the billing of their own clients.

Natterbox’s services are completely hosted over the Internet and require absolutely no hardware or software to be purchased or installed.Natterbox, which plans to expand to international markets by the end of 2011, was founded in 2009 in the southeast of England.

Natterboxs other business telecoms solutions include hosted PBX, SIP trunking, voice PA, call recording, disaster protection and voicemail.
