Vaultize, a provider of appliance deployment solutions including backup, sync and sharing solutions for enterprise customers, has just launched its "Cloud-in-a-box" appliance series.
Unveiled at the CloudConnect show in Bangalore, Cloud-in-a-box is an integrated appliance deployment platform that combines enterprise-grade hardware and Vaultize cloud software.
The company claims to be the first vendor to launch an enterprise-grade appliance deployment solution for backup, sync and sharing. The robust appliances come bundled with backup, sync, group sync, sharing, Web access and mobile apps.
Cloud-in-a-box is a rack-mountable appliance series that starts from 2TB de-duplicated and compressed storage targeted towards SMBs/SMEs to very high capacity systems of up to 90TB for very large enterprises.
“As the adoption of cloud backup is increasing, there is always going to be certain type of data that can't move to public cloud because of regulatory compliances for many business verticals,” said Anand Kekre, CEO and co-founder of Vaultize, in a statement. “Our Cloud-in-a-box strategy complements our cloud offering by allowing our customers to manage all their data on a single platform.”
Kekre added, "Additionally, for customers who are on the fence for cloud adoption, Cloud-in-a-box can be their first step into the wonderful world of cloud. And with our cloud portability option, they would be able to move to public cloud or their own private cloud any time in the future.”
The public cloud service is hosted within the Rackspace (News - Alert) server, and customers can select to deploy Vaultize in their own private cloud, data center, or virtual private cloud, or even go the hybrid way.
