Grandstream, RNK Bring Complete VoIP Solution to SMBs

By Erik Linask, Group Editorial Director

Grandstream Networks (News - Alert) and RNK Communications announced the successful interoperability and subsequent certification of Grandstream’s GXE502x All-in-One IP PBX (News - Alert) with RNK’s global VoIP network. In addition, the two have developed a single-button provisioning feature that makes provisioning of CPE devices nearly effortless — it takes as much effort as clicking a mouse button.

Both the interoperability and simplified ease of provisioning help the two meet the needs of their SMB customers, who are in need of an IP PBX with the features of higher-end systems, but without the price tag (News - Alert) or deployment and management complexities. With Grandstream’s Ip PBX hardware and services running on RNK’s proven network, SMBs have access to a complete — yet affordable — IP Communications solution that will bring their communications capabilities into the IP world.

“RNK’s strong global telecommunications presence combined with the powerful capabilities of our GXE502x IPPBX is a powerful turnkey solution for the SMB,” said David Li (News - Alert), Grandstream CEO

The combined end-to-end solution from Grandstream and RNK helps neutralize some of the key pains SMBs have had to contend with in their quest to upgrade their phone systems. Traditionally, feature-rich VoIP systems, like those deployed by large enterprises, require significant capital investment and are difficult to install and manage.

“Partnering with Grandstream on the hardware, and now one-button provisioning, front opens many new, exciting opportunities for us. The SMB now has a solution to ease the constraints of VoIP deployment encountered in the past,” said Dan Koch, Director of Business Development for RNK.

Grandstream has specifically targeted the SMB community with its GXE hardware, pricing it such that sticker shock will not be an issue — other than perhaps the initial shock that they can actually afford it a quality VoIP system.

With the single-button provisioning capability, deployment and administration concerns are also overcome. In fact, the feature makes the Granstream solution nearly an ready for use right out of the box on the RNK network. The hardware components provide customers an easy-to-use interface with a single-button request for RNK’s VoIP services. It doesn’t get much easier than that,

By collaborating on automatic provisioning, Grandstream and RNK have also helped eliminate network and connectivity issues, since users have little to do in terms of configuration, eliminating human error and increasing security.

As they go to market with their All-in-One VoIP solution for SMBs, Grandstream and RNK are hoping to not only boost adoption of VoIP among SMBs, but to drive a wholesale change in the communications landscape across the market.
