911 Services Provider 911 Enable Exhibiting at Two Industry Events This Week

By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor

It’s certainly going to be a busy, but educational, few days for 911 services leader 911 Enable (News - Alert), which will be attending two major industry events taking place this week.

The 2011 Educause Annual Conference will kick off in Philadelphia, Pa., Tuesday, Oct. 18, with one mission in mind: to promote the intelligent use of information technology for the sole purpose of advancing higher education. Through Oct. 20, individuals from all walks of the education industry – from administration, teaching and learning to information systems, cyber security and library systems – will gather to learn from IT leaders from leading technology organizations the value that their solutions can bring to higher-education institutions.

A company dedicated to helping organizations with IP-based communications networks fully meet their E911 requirements, 911 Enable will be on-site at Educause spreading the word on its solutions for educational organizations. In addition to 911 caller identification down to the building, floor and room level, 911 Enable’s E911 technology is available for a wide range of voice platforms and includes on-site security desk routing and notification; E911 support for all areas from the main campus to remote locations; automatic discovery of IP phones, sofphones and wireless phones; and compliance with all E911 regulations.

Attendees are encouraged to visit the company’s booth, No. 1654.

Meanwhile, across the country in Phoenix, Ariz., innovative thinkers from the telecommunications industry have already taken to the exhibit floor to “Crush It!” at Broadsoft Connections 2011, the annual event focused on helping to enable customers to deliver real-time communications services such as voice, video and unified communications over their broadband, IP-based networks.

Scheduled through Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort, Broadsoft Connections 2011 will hone in on the latest industry trends, showcase unified communications capabilities for businesses and consumers, as well as address the ongoing demand by consumers for mobile communication apps.

At Broadsoft Connections 2011, 911 Enable will be displaying and educating attendees about its revolutionary, newly unveiled Service Provider Emergency Gateway (SP-EGW). This hardware appliance designed to enable hosted IP-PBX (News - Alert) providers to deliver advanced E911 functionality in cloud-based communications service offerings and simplify adherence to state and local E911 laws.

The SP-EGW works seamlessly with 911 Enable’s Emergency Routing Service, a monthly subscription service delivering 911 calls and precise caller-location data to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across the U.S. and Canada, making the SP-EGW the industry’s first end-to-end E911 management platform for hosted IP-PBX providers.

The SP-EGW is compatible with the Broadsoft BroadWorks system and can be deployed within a service provider’s network. With the launch of the SP-EGW, 911 Enable hopes to address several concerns specific to IP-PBX providers, such as the need for a solution to meet state E911 legislation, the need to curtail liability, and the need to lower costs for initial setup and ongoing E911 management.

In addition to exhibiting at BroadSoft (News - Alert) Connections 2011, 911 Enable will be hosting a webinar on Oct. 25, highlighting the SP-EGW and how it works. To register, click here.
