40G Ethernet is the next generation of networking technology. Data center architects and network managers are considering deploying it to provide the needed bandwidth to support server virtualization, cloud based applications, and streaming media.

Although 40G Ethernet supplies the necessary bandwidth, the distance it can cover is only ¼ of what 10G Ethernet covers. 40G Ethernet’s reach of 150m when using OM4 multimode fiber is just too short for some applications. Panduit and Avago will discuss what is driving the adoption of 40G Ethernet, what is limiting it’s reach, and how Panduit and Avago can extend that reach.

What Attendees will learn:

  • What is 40G Ethernet and what are the various ways to deploy it
  • What is driving the adoption of 40G Ethernet?
  • Extending the reach of 40G Ethernet
  • What is the next generation of multimode optical fiber
  • Extended reach 40G Ethernet optical modules
  • Advantages and benefits for end-users
Who should attend:
  • Data center network managers
  • Network architects
  • Data center and networking design consultants
