Synoptek Taps Kandy for Real-Time Communications Cloud Solution

By Matthew Vulpis September 28, 2021

Digital communication in the workplace has become normal and essential, as the digital tools have started to reach the point where use by businesses is beneficial. While digitalization has moved into every corner of the workplace, it’s important for companies of all sizes to realize why digital communications are important in all departments and as part of their company’s strategy.

Many businesses are already digitizing both their communication and collaboration tools to enhance a myriad of aspects within their businesses, from simple daily processes to improving the customer experience. For example, the percentage of companies investing in omnichannel communications technology to better the customer experience has increased to more than 80 percent from 20 percent. Likewise, 80 percent of businesses already apply collaboration tools to optimize their business operations.

The fact is, digital methods of communication are faster, more versatile, practical, and streamlined, so it is perhaps unsurprising that once the technology became available, businesses began quickly moving into the digital age. Digital communication also holds endless potential when it comes to collaboration, which is why it’s no surprise companies are beginning to leverage the tools necessary to optimize their digital communications.

Kandy (News - Alert) Communications, a business unit of American Virtual Cloud Technologies (AVCT) and a global leader in secure and intelligent cloud communications, announced that Synoptek, a global systems integrator and managed IT services provider (MSP), has deployed the Kandy Unified Communications (News - Alert)-as-a-Service (UCaaS) solution for the Global Furniture Group (Global Furniture), the fifth-largest multinational manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of office furniture with a 55-year legacy and more than 8,000 employees.

“We have a very strong, long-standing partnership with Synoptek and are pleased that we can enable the deployment of our Kandy UCaaS services,” said Chuck Canton, President, Kandy Communications. “In today’s hybrid work environments, business users and customers want modern communications capabilities whether they are in the office, at home, or on the go. Kandy can provide the same rich collaboration and communications experience from virtually anywhere.”

Kandy enables Synoptek to offer real-time communications services, including voice, video, instant messaging, presence, and collaboration capabilities for large flagship enterprises, by employing Kandy’s UCaaS. This approach to communications technology involves combining many different communication methods into one platform, which can include voice over internet protocol (VoIP), video conferencing, instant messaging, email, and more. The platform resides in the cloud and combines these technologies into a single interface accessible from any desk phone, smartphone, tablet, or computer.

This technology holds a myriad of benefits for organizations looking to improve their digital communications. Switching to UCaaS from older communications equipment can provide significant cost savings. The provider hosts the equipment in their data centers and provides access to the service through the cloud. This means that businesses don’t have to purchase large amounts of hardware required to host the service at their own facility. With cloud-based services, there are almost no upfront costs.

On top of this, UCaaS gives a business much more flexibility in how it communicates. Organizations can use more types of channels and devices from more locations while seamlessly switching between them, which makes a business more agile and helps adjust to changes more quickly.

Kandy’s UCaaS, which is now being used by Global Furniture, is a full suite of cloud-based communications services, including contact centers that enable the transition of business communications to the cloud. As part of a broader solution, Kandy offers Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) which enables embedded communications for enterprises as part of their broader digital transformation and enhanced customer engagement strategy.

“Kandy’s UCaaS solution is a great addition to our portfolio, providing us with a proven hosted product that immediately expands our business services offerings,” said Tim Britt, CEO at Synoptek. “Not only does Kandy UCaaS support traditional phones and analog devices, Kandy Smart Office soft clients enable premium chat, end-user voice and video conferencing, and collaboration. Kandy allows us to be a “one-stop-shop” to meet all our customers’ real-time communications needs, regardless of whether they seek solutions for office, factory, mobile, remote, or hybrid work environments.”

Today, digital communications and collaboration have become indispensable and are no longer an option in the workplace but a necessity. And for those organizations that don’t want to be left behind as the world goes digital, keeping pace with new technologies is critical, and enterprise digital communications transformation through a good UCaaS solution can help organizations not lose ground in a highly competitive world.
