Pricester.com's Genesis Electronics Plans for Solar Powered Cell Charger

Pricester.com has said that the executives of its Genesis Electronics subsidiary are actively negotiating with MediaTek (News - Alert), a $1.7 billion electronics corporation based in Taiwan, to manufacture the first production run of the SunBlazer.

The SunBlazer is a sleek, wearable, holster for cell phones that utilizes solar energy to vastly increase the battery life and utility of the most widely used cell phones.

The SunBlazer maintains the phone’s battery at peak charge, eliminating the need to re-charge the battery with traditional plug-in methods. Genesis holds a U.S. patent for the technology.

“We’re very pleased to be working with a company of MediaTek’s state-of-the-art capabilities and reputation for quality. Our aim is to ensure that Genesis Electronics’ products rapidly earn consumer confidence,” said Ed Dillon, Pricester’s president and CEO.

Phil Thomas, Genesis’ chief technology officer, commented, “Our engineering team is enthusiastic about interfacing with MediaTek and the potential of the SunBlazer. This is the type of ground breaking product that impacts people worldwide.”

The worldwide proliferation of hand-held electronic devices — particularly cell phones — has created an enormous demand for a consumer-friendly response to the problem of limited battery life. Genesis Electronics, with its SunBlazer and other upcoming product releases, is on the cutting edge of solar and alternative energy solutions.

Raymond Purdon, Pricester’s chairman, added, “MediaTek is a recognized global electronics supplier, which complements our planned distribution of the SunBlazer through prominent cellular service providers and major retail outlets.”

Meanwhile, Pricester.com has indefinitely waived all fees for its online shopping portal, accessible at www.pricester.com or directly at www.pricester.com/shopping, for those serving in the Armed Forces, including veterans and their family members.

Many members of the Armed Forces and their families look to online selling for supplementing their income. The most popular shopping portals charge fees for just listing products and have increased their fees to sellers when transactions occur, making it more prohibitive for online retailers—especially smaller or first-time participants—to enter the Internet marketplace. By suspending its fees, Pricester.com hopes to facilitate Armed Forces participation in this space.
