Replay Systems to Help Orange County 911 Deploy Call Recording

Fort Lauderdale, FL based Replay Systems, Inc. has announced it will help Orange (News - Alert) County 911 has signed a contract with Replay to replace all voice logging equipment with the advanced recording, quality assurance and real-time reporting solution from VPI.


Orange County 911 will use the new VPI system to reliably and securely capture, manage and share critical incident information. The system will also help optimize workforce efficiency. Replay will continue to provide first rate public safety service on all VPI systems throughout Orange County.

All 911 calls answered at the hundred or so positions throughout Orange County will be recorded by the VPI platform. The platform will also provide secure, centralized Web based access to recordings, quality evaluations and real-time reports across all nine locations.

“Orange County PSAPs serve a population of approximately 1.2 million residents within a1,000 square mile radius and answered 1.2 million 911 calls last year,” said Jeff Ballard, 911 system analyst for Orange County.

Orlando, Orange County is home to the University of Central Florida, Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios and receives over 40 million visitors and tourists annually.

Replay was an obvious choice because of it is the only solution that can efficiently manage the high volume of emergency calls and scenarios encountered.

“We are excited to implement another county-wide system replacement in Florida with the complete VPI recording suite as we have successfully launched in Alachua, Volusia, and Bay Counties,” said Scott Hurley, president and CEO of Replay.
