Xora Adds Mileage Manager Feature to its StreetSmart Workforce Management Tool

Xora, a company specializing in mobile workforce management solutions, enhanced its Xora StreetSmart workforce management solution by adding the Mileage Manager feature to it.

Tom Miltonberger, vice president of products and engineering for Xora said, “The addition of Mileage Manager is really a game changer for our customers. Now, our customers can better track and analyze expenses and reduce the overall trip related costs faster and more effectively.”


The mileage manager capability will empower mobile workers equipped with the associated Trips mobile app to track and submit mileage including other trip expenses easily. Also managers will be able to find out about expected versus actual routes taken by comparing odometer, GPS and Google (News - Alert) suggested routes.

The mileage manager is capable of supporting IRS requirements including configurable trip categories, purpose and reimbursement rates. Companies can now manage and analyze mileage costs, billing and reimbursements easily.

According to officials, the Xora StreetSmart is a suite of configurable mobile apps which features a Web-based management application that can upgrade a mobile phone or tablet into a powerful productivity tool.

The management application can be used by managers and office personnel to analyze performance and make better decisions regarding business. The mileage manager helps in mileage and expense submission and analysis.

In addition, mobile timesheets reduce time and errors while mobile forms and mobile jobs bring down phone tag (News - Alert) and manual paperwork. Users can use the photo and electronic-signature capture facilities as proof of service.

The new release of Xora StreetSmart also features better mobile device insights capability. The release includes a device status log, new device battery level indicators and alerts. Managers can now take proactive action when needed to resolve issues that may occur when the devices are in use in the field.

All these features make managing a mobile workforce easy as they help overcome problems associated with mobile devices and communications such as battery life, carrier coverage and GPS limitations, said officials.

In May 2013, Xora’s StreetSmart offering became a Citrix Ready Worx verified partner, making it available to over 250,000 Citrix enterprise customers and 10,000 Citrix resellers. Xora StreetSmart’s mobile apps turn any mobile device into a productivity tool for employees in the office and on the go.
