Wireless headsets manufacturer Plantronics (News - Alert) on Thursday unveiled details for a new Bluebooth headset in its Voyager line. The Voyager 520, like its predecessor Voyager 510, is designed to deliver exceptional voice clarity, versatility and ease-of-use for mobile professionals.
The Voyager 520 features a noise-canceling microphone combined with wind-reduction technology for crystal-clear sound quality even when used in outdoor environments. Plantronics’ Multipoint technology is incorporated to let users easily switch between multiple Bluetooth
devices (e.g. work and personal mobile phones).
A multifunction button built into the Voyager 520 wireless headset provides one-touch call answer/end and volume up/down capabilities. Plus, Plantronics’ QuickPair technology means this headset can be quickly paired, out-of-the-box, with any Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone.
“Whether in a busy airport or on a windy city street, mobile professionals demand audio clarity and long wearing comfort to conduct business,” said Renee Niemi, general manager and vice president at Plantronics’ mobile and entertainment division, in a statement. “We’ve incorporated these features in the Voyager 520 and added an exceptionally comfortable new wearing style.”
Bundled with the Voyager 520 is a desktop charging cradle that provides, in a single charge, enough power for eight hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby time. This new headset from Plantronics will hit store shelves in August, with a suggested retail price of $99.99.
