Find Coverage in Your Area Our extensive network is built firmly upon November 17, 2009 Bypass High Carrier Minimums with Wholesale VoIP
By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor
Pittsburgh, Pa.-based wholesale VoIP provider VoIP Innovations has made significant strides in today’s marketplace as hosted solutions and the need for cost savings remain a top concern for businesses.
A subsidiary of ABG Capital, VoIP Innovations (News - Alert) provides US inbound origination services that help to eliminate capital expenses associated with building out a physical point of presence.
The company offers carriers a cost effective alternative for delivering high quality services without “having to worry about multiple business relationships with multiple carriers. We handle that piece for them,” Jeanette Yeager, major account executive at VoIP Innovations told TMC’s (News - Alert) Erik Linask in an interview.
“What we found is there are a lot of businesses out there who want to get into something like IP Hosting and can’t possibly reach the high minimums that the carriers expect. Their kind of in a jam because they want to provide services at a reasonable rate for their customers and it’s difficult for them to do. So what we do is take that on for them,” Yeager said.
For carriers, it makes more sense to go through a wholesale channel as opposed to building out their own networks because of the expenses and because it is less time consuming.
To bypass high carrier minimums, Yeager said the company has enough volume to reach the required minimums and can take that burden away from customers while also passing on the cost savings.
To address the top challenges faced by VoIP resellers, the company also recently released a white paper titled “Reselling VoIP: The Top 10 Challenges.”
The white paper addresses challenges associated with long term contracts, multi-vendor relationships, a lack of flexibility and redundancy and highlights the company’s goal to partner with resellers to help avoid these challenges along the way.
