LifeSize (News - Alert) Communications, a division of Logitech and a global provider of high-definition video communications, has been selected by the Seattle Science Foundation to promote international collaboration among physicians, scientists, technologists, engineers and educators from around the world.

 

The foundation, with the help of LifeSize high definition video conferencing solutions, is creating a virtual medical world where doctors from around the globe can meet and exchange ideas, technical knowledge and practical information.

 

Launched in 2006, SSF follows a different approach to medical education and research and offers physicians and specialists a truly unique opportunity to advance surgical training, practice new surgical and endovascular techniques and refine innovative medical devices.

 

By using a combination of LifeSize Room and LifeSize Express HD video systems, SSF is able to offer an ideal venue for medical collaboration.

 

The state-of-the-art research center helps several medical professionals to visualize surgical processes in simulation and cadaveric settings. Also, the facility enables them to conduct medical device proof of concept and product testing.
