Demand for VoipSwitch Mobile Dialer Grew in 2009: Interview

The growing demand and awareness for IP-PBX’s (News - Alert) by both enterprises and residential users has helped one London-based developer of VoIP platform solutions realize growth in 2009.

 
According to Alexander Ellinson, chairman, president and co- founder of Voiceserve Inc., the company’s VoipSwitch offering has continued to grow in popularity as many of today’s handsets incorporate the mobile dialer.
 
VoIPSwitch, a subsidiary of Voiceserve Inc., and specializes in the development of high-quality, scalable and cost-efficient VoIP platform solutions for global telecommunications service providers. 
 
In an interview with yours truly, Ellinson also uncovered his thoughts on the economic recovery and the company’s plans for 2010.

Looking back at 2009, can you highlight some of the most important advancements or trends that emerged in the market you serve?
 
 
The awareness and deployment of WiFi (News - Alert) aerials globally, and WiFi/GPRS/3G/Edge connectivity via mobile phone units are among the top advancements this year. Additionally, mobile phone manufacturers’ creativity in adding such features on the handset is an important and significant highlight. 
 
What were the key trends that impacted your business?
 
The key trends that impacted Voiceserve’s VoipSwitch business are the growing popularity of the latest handsets with the VoipSwitch mobile dialer incorporated, and the growing awareness and demand for IP-PBX’s by both business enterprises and residential users.
 
What were your company’s biggest achievements/ announcements in the past year?
 
Voiceserve’s VoipSwitch mobile dialers and IP-PBX were our major achievements this past year.
 
Looking back at 2009, how would you characterize the year for your company?
 
Once again this year Voiceserve broke records and hit new highs with its achievements. Revenues grew by a dramatic 300 percent plus and the company established representatives across several continents.
 
We started this year in an economic recession, it seems like were now pulling out of that, what are your thoughts?
 
The VoipSwitch product was not affected at all by any recession. On the other hand, being involved in a field that creates convenience, savings and reliability for the corporate world, demand has contributed to the company’s growth and popularity.
 
What are you planning for 2010?
 
In 2010, the company plans to continue its global expansion and release many new, very exciting features for the family of VoipSwitch modules. This is definitely a space to keep an eye out for.
