According to a recent survey, call quality and appropriate voice management solutions are not the only things on cell phone consumers’ minds nowadays; data security is pertinent to them as well.
A recent report conducted by AdaptiveMobile (News - Alert) revealed that, for the first time in history, data security is more important to U.S. cell phone users that call quality. Some statistics include the fact that 68 percent of those surveyed cited view keeping information secure as the most important carrier function, as opposed to 52 percent which listed service quality and reliability.
The survey also suggested that smartphone subscribers are more concerned about the data and information stored on their phone (86 percent) than the possibility of identity theft (69 percent). Only 45 percent were concerned about the handset themselves.
While data security is quickly growing in importance, many are still concerned with voice quality, particularly when it comes to VoIP. One company remaining at the leading edge of VoIP voice management technology is Tone Software (News - Alert), a high technology software development firm specializing in global business, telecommunications, and IT infrastructure management solutions.
According to Tone Software officials, one of the most prevalent issues in VoIP environments today is poor call quality, but because 60 percent of VoIP quality problems have nothing to do with the VoIP call server, voice support teams struggle to identify and address the RIGHT quality problems. Tone Software’s ReliaTel VoIP QoS Management solution is a vendor agnostic solution that manages voice QoS in real-time across VoIP switches, gateways, PBXs, voice mail servers, applications, routers, and call servers from virtually any manufacturer. As the IP voice network evolves, ReliaTel easily adapts to manage the entire convergence technology mix.
To speak to the importance of voice quality, Tone Software is gearing up for a free webinar titled, “Five Keys to Cut Operational Costs and Boost QoS in Your VoIP, SIP, and UC Environment…,” which will cover: how to cut operational costs of deploying and supporting VoIP, SIP, and UC services; ways to minimize the complexity of convergence throughout your environment; keys to ensure your VoIP call quality and service levels don’t disappoint corporate stakeholders; how to equip your convergence teams to handle the increasing support demands; and steps to ensure you meet the converged voice SLAs necessary to drive your desired ROI.
“Get the straight facts on how you can cut VoIP, SIP and UC operational costs throughout your converged environment — from SIP at the core to the softphone at the edge,” Tone Software officials said of their webinar. “Learn how to cost-effectively boost both quality and the overall converged network service levels that directly impact your communications ROI.”
