IntelePeer Enables Mayer Networks to Deliver Communications Services for Campus Habitat

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

IntelePeer, a provider of cloud-based communications services deployed via Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) or "SIP" networks, announced that Mayer Networks has deployed their communications solutions to deliver hosted telecommunications services for Campus Habitat.

Mayer Networks is the only Microsoft Partnered IT Firm in the Southern Illinois region boasting both Microsoft Certified and Cisco (News - Alert) Certified technicians. The company provides complex network and infrastructure designs implementations to software and development services to businesses.

The company uses Microsoft Office Communications Server or "OCS" 2007 Release 2 (R2) combined with IntelePeer's (News - Alert) Microsoft-certified Cloud-based SIP network infrastructure to deliver advanced voice features that include high-quality local, long-distance and international calls, Direct Inward Dialing or "DID" connections, and other innovative capabilities.

Campus Habitat provides high-quality, off-campus housing for college and university students across the United States and has selected Mayer Networks to manage its rollout of premium communications services to all employees, according to company officials.

IntelePeer's on-demand communications services are backed by deep communications expertise and a proven Quick Start program. Their cloud-based infrastructure is directly interoperable with any OCS 2007 R2 deployment, the company said.

Margaret Norton, general manager, enterprise for IntelePeer, says the company provides their channel partners with the tools and support they need to quickly and profitably roll out Microsoft (News - Alert) OCS deployments that are completely tailored to fit each customer.

Through its advanced network infrastructure, IntelePeer simplifies telecommunications by delivering carrier-quality service over public or private Internet Protocol or "IP" connections. This spares customers from the need to change their current data provider or existing communications equipment, eliminating the lengthy delays associated with most service providers.

Earlier in June IntelePeer announced partnership with GeniSys Global to provide hosted Microsoft Unified Communications (News - Alert) solutions utilizing IntelePeer's cloud-based SIP network infrastructure, TMCnet reported.

"At Campus Habitat, the success of our business depends on connecting geographically isolated teams and making informed decisions," Maximus Yaney, founder and president of Campus Habitat, said.

Campus Habitat used IntelePeer's solutions to provide local service in all of their markets and deployment speed that none of the other carriers could match. "Our employees now have reliable and high-quality communication services and can stay connected regardless of their location," Yaney added.

"With IntelePeer's Quick Start program and Microsoft-qualified hosted SIP connections, we can roll out customized unified communications services for customers that provide carrier-grade quality and reliability in just a few days," James Mayer, CEO of Mayer Networks, said.
