Many companies view VoIP technology as one-stop solution for migrating away from traditional forms of communication. This technology promises to offer the best bandwidth efficiency at the lowest costs.

In fact, VoIP is currently the cheapest substitute to traditional telephony, making and receiving calls over the Internet at predictable monthly rate. What’s more, VoIP can handle large volumes of calls without problems, and can easily store and save data, such as recorded messages.

Supporting the requirements of modern technologies such as VoIP, Velocity Networks, a data solution company, has introduced its new Wholesale VoIP service.

Velocity’s Wholesale VoIP services aim to offer industry leading features, carrier grade reliability and scalability, and a highly available architecture with no single point of failure.

The company’s VoIP network relies on a Super-POP (point-of-presence) architecture, which minimizes use of the public Internet, placing the users VoIP calls just one hop away from most major internet backbone carriers.

The Super-POPs, located in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and New York, are interconnected with high-capacity fiber links, creating a redundant VoIP Backbone that improves performance and economics for the movement of VoIP calls across the United States. Moreover, their architecture and network strategy is designed to eliminate packet loss, jitter and latency across the continent and to the PSTN, translating into higher quality calls and more satisfied customers.

The Velocity Networks network currently offers local DID numbers to more than 40 different countries and more than 300 different US markets. In addition, the company provides access to nearly 7,000 rate centers with full local origination domestically.

Apart from these utilities, the Velocity Networks Wholesale VoIP offers services such as SIP DID’s;   SIP 800 (toll free origination services via SIP);  SIP termination (Terminate calls through a list of countries); E911;   411 (live directory services via SIP);  LNP support; directory listings; and CNAM Inbound and Outbound delivery.
