VoIP Switch - New Report Offers Insight into the Mobile VoIP Switch Market

August 07, 2012

U.K.-based media company Visiongain (News - Alert) has recently published a market research report titled, “The Mobile VoIP Market 2012-2017” that offers an overview of the current VoIP switch market and also predicts how it will develop over the next five years.

According to the company, in 2012, the mobile VoIP market will see revenues of $2.5 billion, driven by smartphone uptake and increasingly cash conscious and tech savvy consumers.

There has also been a steady increase in the number of successful partnerships between VoIP vendors and mobile operators that are continuing to deploy mobile VoIP services. This report also analyses other market drivers as well as key market players and their strategies.

Visiongain offers forecasts for the period that begins in 2012 and ends in 2017 in terms of value for the global mobile VoIP market. In addition, five regional mobile VoIP markets were closely looked at over the same years.

Compiled by combining information obtained from a very wide and rich mixture of primary and secondary research sources, the report contains 67 tables, charts, figures and graphs that add visual analysis in order to explain developing trends within the mobile VoIP market.

The report also provides profiles of major companies operating within the market, and includes an exclusive interview with two major mobile VoIP companies, providing expert insight alongside Visiongain’s analysis.

The study draws on a diverse range of official corporate and governmental announcements, media reports, policy documents, industry statements and expert opinion as a basis for discussing and predicting developments in the mobile VoIP market between 2012 and 2017.

In a related report, TMCnet revealed earlier this week that out of 175 different businesses in the United Kingdom polled over several different industries, 63 percent had been using VoIP successfully for the last three years. Moreover, 15 percent reported successful use between one and two years, while 22 percent had been using it less than one year
