Intellinet Network Solutions (News - Alert), a provider of advanced VOIP switches and wireless routers has recently released its newest generation of Gigabit Power-over-Ethernet network switches: a 24 port rackmount model, a 16-port rackmount model and an 8-port desktop model.
The new generation of PoE switches delivers high-speed data and up to 30 watts of power to a variety of compliant devices and offers SMBs the performance they need at a price point they can afford.
Officials said that the flagship offering of the new Intellinet Gigabit PoE switch line, the 24-Port PoE Web-Managed Rackmount Gigabit Switch, is used in SMB environments that need a robust network, as well as support for multiple PoE or PoE+ devices.
The switch offers data and power to up to 24 802.3af and/or 802.3at compliant devices such as VoIP phones, IP cameras, and wireless access points.
Two small form-factor pluggable GBIC module slots provide fiber connectivity for greater distances. The user, with the help of an overall switch PoE budget of 190 Watts is provided more flexibility in customizing their network. The Web-based management function also allows the user to be in full control over their network.
The 16-Port PoE Web-Managed Rackmount Gigabit Switch has eight fewer ports than the flagship model, but it provides the same level of network performance and the same massive PoE budget of 190 Watts. It is ideal for forward-leaning businesses looking to upgrade and enhance the capabilities of their network.
Designed to pass both data and electrical power to PoE compatible devices via standard Cat5e or Cat6 network cables, the Intellinet Network Solutions 8-Port PoE Web-Managed Desktop Gigabit Switch is perfect for small office installations or use with IP-based security systems.
