Mu Dynamics snapped up another award this week for its Mu-4000 Service Analyzer after global media company Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC (News - Alert)) chose it as a winner of the 2009 NGN Leadership Award from NGN magazine.

 

The Sunnyvale-based Mu Dynamics, a pioneer in helping vendors eliminate NGN service downtime through proactive service assurance, was recognize in part due to its achievement in the IP Communications community as its services relates to the IMS and NGN environments, according to Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) president of TMC.

The Mu-4000 Service Analyzer is designed to support the continuous evaluation, testing and reliable deployment of IPTV and IMS-based services and includes service-level traffic variations to identify and eliminate IP Service quality issues including system crashes, distributed denial of service attacks, and more subtle issues like response-time latency and CPU utilization spikes.

 

As the IPTV and VoIP services space continues to grow, the importance of assessing the gaps of underlying service level traffic variations services such as Diameter and SIP are critical to the reliable delivery of revenue-critical next generation services, according to Adam Stein (News - Alert) , vice president marketing at Mu Dynamics.

 

“The automated services testing performed by the Mu-4000 is far more comprehensive than any manual process or point product solution we evaluated to date,” said Stein. “It will be critical to BT (News - Alert)  [and other customers] as we implement our next generation of real-time network infrastructure and services.”

 

As TMCnet previously reported, the Mu-4000 Service Analyzer last year was a recipient of the 2008 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award.
