Empirix, a provider of service quality assurance solutions for new IP communications, has announced that 360networks selected the company’s Hammer XMS to enhance monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities of potential issues across its more than 17,000 route miles of fiber optic network across the western United States.
A full service, wholesale enabler of VoIP, transport, IP and local access services, 360networks (News - Alert) helps its voice, data and Web-based application and service provider customers quickly pursue next-generation strategies, migrate from legacy networks, grow into new markets and services, and increase network diversity.
Hammer XMS’ carrier-class network monitoring capabilities provide complete visualization into real-time service quality, and features a flexible and easy-to-use graphical user interface - optimizing the search and diagnosis process, while continuously monitoring the network.
With Empirix’s (News - Alert) Hammer XMS, 360networks provides increased efficiency for analyzing, diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues. The solution also enables service providers to detect negative trends in voice quality early on, thus preventing poor service quality from reaching the customer.
“360networks continues to invest in bringing quality and value to our customers,” Brady Adams, chief technology officer of 360networks. “The integration of Empirix’s Hammer XMS technology allows us to manage both VoIP and TDM call flows into a single application, improving fault isolation and network performance.”
At the core of Hammer XMS technology is Empirix’s unique correlation engine, which enables pieces of various calls to be correlated to create a single call for enhanced troubleshooting. This feature enables 360networks to quickly and easily identify associated issues, errors or quality degradation for various calls before they affect their customers.
Empirix also recently announced their OneSight Voice Quality Assurance solution, which provides enterprises with a way to optimize their IP telephony networks by actively monitoring bi-directional voice quality across multiple geographically dispersed sites.
In an interview with TMCnet, Walter Kenrich (News - Alert), director of Product Management at Empirix, said, “With the new OneSight Voice Quality Assurance solution Empirix is able to emulate that customer experience as it goes through all of those network infrastructures components, to really help validate that the IP Telephony environment is working.”
