Net Optics Continues Global Growth within the Network Performance Management Space

By Amanda Ciccatelli, TMCnet Web Editor

Today, the corporate network connects employees, customers and business partners in day-to-day operations, serving as the platform for business growth. This integral IT asset is evolving with the rapid growth of trends like cloud computing, virtualization and mobile computing. As companies adopt these new technologies, they are facing the distinct challenge of balancing flexible access and control over data and cost.

Oftentimes, companies move data and servers to centralized environments and turn to virtualization in order to lower costs, consolidate resources and increase efficiency. So, files and applications are moving farther away from users, resulting in network visibility problems. This is also happening at a time when users expect reliability, stability and performance from the network, no matter where they are located.

Net Optics (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of total application and network visibility solutions, has had a successful 2012 - a year of innovation that has solidified the company's place in the application-aware Network Performance Management (NPM) and VoIP management and monitoring markets while expanding its role in the network packet Broker and tap technology spaces.

Net Optics’ solutions offer real-time network intelligence for peak performance in network monitoring and security. As a result, businesses achieve end-to-end visibility to optimize network performance of physical, virtual and private cloud environments, as well as remote branch offices.

"For Net Optics, 2012 was a year of strategic expansion and positioning as we continue to align our vision to the demands of the marketplace," said Eldad Matityahu, founder and chairman of the Board, in a statement.

Last year, the company expanded to Asia-Pac and South America, redefined network monitoring with the launch of a total visibility and control platform, introduced the first Tap to break the 100GB barrier, enhanced the Phantom Virtualization Tap to support hypervisors, and developed application and network visibility solutions.

"Key partnerships drove continued global expansion, the launch of Spyke and appTap closed a gap in the market by providing SMBs and branch offices with an accessible AA-NPM solution, and the introduction of our total visibility platform confirmed our position as a pioneer in the network visibility market,” added Matityahu.

Expanding its offerings in the network and application intelligence space, Net Optics introduced Spyke, enabling companies to monitor their entire network with VoIP monitoring, NetFlow Generation and Monitoring, and real-time application and network monitoring. With Spyke, SMBS can afford a solution that unites performance management with intelligent access, and enterprises can deploy Spyke with existing performance solutions.

Additionally, the company released Flex Tap –  the first tap on the market to reach the 100G milestone. Net Optics also introduced the Phantom HD Virtual 2.0, the first virtual tool-agnostic monitoring and access solution for remote rapid deployments in virtualized data centers and private cloud computing environments.

In 2012, Net Optics surpassed the $300 million revenue mark and continued its global expansion. The company also formed partnerships with ApliDigital in Brazil and RDT in the Middle East.

Net Optics CEO Bob Shaw said, "Our 'Customer First' philosophy continues to drive business decisions, as we aim to balance top notch customer service with cutting edge reliable solutions offering total visibility on premise, in the private cloud, and remote branch offices.”
