SimpleSignal Migrates Back to LogiSense's EngageIP Billing and OSS Solution

SimpleSignal, a hosted PBX and cloud-based Unified Communications (News - Alert) service provider offering IP phone applications and cloud-based collaboration services, has migrated back to LogiSense Corporation's EngageIP software.


LogiSense (News - Alert) is a provider of converged IP Billing and OSS solutions. Its EngageIP software is a Billing and Operation Support System (OSS) solution. This Billing/OSS solution is a robust, comprehensive platform that delivers the power and flexibility to manage the dynamic needs of today's service providers.

In 2006, SimpleSignal (News - Alert) had deployed LogiSense's EngageIP Billing and Service Management platform in combination with BroadSoft's (News - Alert) BroadWorks VoIP application platform. The Billing/OSS solution was in place at SimpleSignal from 2006-2010 when things were wound down. After that, SimpleSignal had deployed another new platform as an alternative to EngageIP.

Nevertheless, the new software had inflexible billing options and lengthy service rollouts. Consequently, SimpleSignal initiated a migration back to LogiSense's EngageIP software.

As one of the fastest-growing Enterprise VoIP service providers in the U.S. and Canada, Simple Signal offers carrier-grade service, which is tailored for small- to medium-sized businesses and combines voice and data, hosted PBX, long distance and conferencing into one powerful, cost effective communications solution.

"When we purchased a smaller telecom company, we inherited an additional billing vendor," said Dave Gilbert (News - Alert), CEO of SimpleSignal, in a statement. "We were already using LogiSense, but it seemed like an easier and cost-effective path to use the new vendor. Our assumption turned out to be incorrect."

"We missed the power of the software and we missed the expertise and support LogiSense provided us," added Gilbert. "They made our migration easier than we anticipated. We were pleased to realize that we will be billing with increased speed and accuracy which ultimately affects our bottom line."

Earlier, EngageIP platform was being used by Simple Signal to service catalogue, rate, provision, bill, and provide accurate real time reporting to, and for, Simple Signal wholesalers and dealers. It also served as a central management platform for call rating and revenue assurance.

Capable of easily managing inbound calling and inbound toll free as well as local call detection for each local market, the EngageIP has rating engine that provides a flexible means for maintaining various tiered rates for IntraLata, InterLata, IntraState, InterState, and International calling.
