Clarus Systems Goes Global with VoIP Management

By Juliana Kenny, TMCnet Managing Editor

Clarus Systems (News - Alert) has been ramping up its global efforts in VoIP management recently, involving expansive deployments and VoIP infrastructure migrations and upgrades. Offering a remote service using U.S.-based resources to test global VoIP phone deployments, Clarus is broadening its horizons in the Asian Pacific, Latin American, and EMEA regions.

Dom Molloy, director of services for Clarus Systems, stated in an interview, “We have introduced a couple of new services that we’re getting some traction on. Additionally we’re seeing a wider and heavier adoption of services that we already offer.”

“One of the services is SIP Trunk Testing for our financial vertical,” he continued. “We’re in the process of delivering one for a large global company in that vertical. We are expecting to see more of that as customers become more familiar with their IP telephony deployment and decide they want to take that next step in deploying SIP trunks.”

Clarus hosts all of this global deployment with resources solely within the U.S., and Molloy emphasized that important aspect of the company’s changes and expanding horizons. “These engagements are multi-year engagements. We have to grow our services resource base. We need to start adding people into the mix. We expect to double the amount of folks delivering services for us over the next three to six months. All U.S. people. With the commencement of global activities, we have to change our mindset to be a 24/7 service delivery organization with the deployments occurring across different time zones,” he commented.

The company expects to see more relationships grow with larger global customers based on its very strong relationship with Cisco (News - Alert). As Cisco continues to see Clarus as a “go-to service provider,” according to Molloy, the two companies will continue to grow each others’ product offerings throughout the world.
