Toronto, Canada-based Sangoma Technologies (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of voice and data connectivity components for software-based communication applications, announced the results of its 2Q09-10 unaudited results which show annual revenue growth of 14 percent.
The company’s data cards, voice cards, gateways and connectivity software are used to make IP Telephony possible in leading PBX (News - Alert), IVR, contact center and carrier applications worldwide.
Sales were up 14 percent in the 1Q09-10 at $2.97 million in comparison to 1Q08-09 which had $2.60 million in sales.
Also, the company reported net income was down 67 percent to $0.37 million in comparison to 1Q08-09 which resulted in $1.11 million.
According to company officials, there net income was, “dominated by a foreign exchange expense differential of $1.1 million between the two comparative quarters.”
Last month, the company announced it was strengthening its commitment to the FreeSWITCH open source project.
The company is extending its support to FreeSWITCH by sponsoring their open source conference and extending monetary as well as technical support to encourage the growth of the FreeSWITCH community.
