Fenestrae, a Netherlands-based provider of messaging and mobility software products, today announced that it has incorporated Cantata’s Brooktrout (News - Alert) SR 140 and TR 1034 Fax-over-IP (FoIP) platforms in its Fenestrae Communication Server 2007.
Fenestrae Communication Server 2007, claimed to be the first enterprise-level messaging and communications platform optimized for Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange 2007, extends the widest range of business applications with fax and SMS. Hundreds of organizations globally use Fenestrae Communication Server to improve communications with customers, suppliers and mobile employees.
Deployment of Fenestrae Communication Server 2007 enables customers who would like to deploy Microsoft Exchange 2007 to migrate directly from previous generations of the product and avoid the cost associated with migrating to Microsoft Exchange 2003.
With more than 70% market share worldwide, Cantata Technology (News - Alert) is considered the market leader in intelligent fax platforms. The software-only Brooktrout SR140 supports real-time IP fax, providing companies with the ability to integrate fax servers and fax document management solutions with their VoIP network.
The Brooktrout TR1034 is a high-performance V.34 intelligent fax platform offering support for PSTN and FoIP connectivity. Both the SR140 and TR1034 are suitable for various fax server applications such as document management, business process automation, and compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA.
“Fenestrae and its customers have benefited from a long-standing, productive partnership with Cantata,” said Eric van Beek, vice president, international sales, Fenestrae, in a statement. “That’s why we decided to support the Brooktrout SR140 and TR1034 as the enabling fax technology components of the Fenestrae Communications Server 2007. In addition to providing the industry’s most proven and robust portfolio of FoIP platforms, Cantata also provides an unprecedented level of exceptional customer service and support.”
“Today’s announcement reaffirms Cantata’s position at the trusted leader in fax,” said Peter Vescuso, vice president, marketing, Cantata Technology, in a statement. “In partnership with companies such as Fenestrae, Cantata has taken the lead to ensure that critical fax functionality takes its rightful place in the enterprise IP evolution that is accelerating worldwide. We expect this momentum and market demand to continue unabated throughout 2007 and beyond.”
