The new Tsig family of signaling gateways from TelcoBridges (News - Alert) is designed to deliver the reliability and stability of the Tmedia gateway as a targeted signaling solution.
According to TelcoBridges, the Tsig gateway should cater to the signaling requirements of large Tier-1 carriers, agile MNO/MVNO/MVNEs, and everyone in between.
Gaetan Campeau (News - Alert), chief executive officer at TelcoBridges, commented, “Our Tmedia gateways have earned the reputation for being the most stable and reliable gateways in the industry, and the new Tsig family focuses Tmedia’s functionality towards offering a dedicated signaling solution for meeting specific customer needs. Tsig is a flexible solution that can be upgraded as needs evolve. Not only can it be remotely upgraded to carry more links, but it can also be upgraded to a full Tmedia gateway to address a wider variety of needs.”
The TelcoBridges Tsig Signaling/SIGTRAN Gateway (News - Alert) transfers signaling messages between Common Channel Signaling nodes (CCS) and/or between Signaling Transfer Points (STP). The Tsig signaling/SIGTRAN gateway performs packet level translation from SS7 signaling to SIGTRAN signaling. The solution is also stated to be capable of scaling from 1x SS7 signaling link to 64x SS7 signaling links in a single unit. It can be deployed fully redundant (1+1) providing high availability (HA) of over 99.999 percent availability.
The Tsig gateway is suitable for network locations where a full media gateway is not required, and is an ideal drop in for existing NGN networks, or for use in new NGN network deployments.
Some of the notable features of Tsig gateway are: up to 64 E1/T1, or 3 DS3, or 1xSTM1, high Availability (HA) solutions including 1+1 redundancy, Low Speed Links (LSL) & High Speed Link (HSL (News - Alert)) support, SCTP multi-homing, Pointcode routing & CIC range routing (Circuit Identification Code) and Pointcode conversion, Capability Point Code, Alias Point Code, Global Title Translation (GTT) routing/translation, audit logs, easy to use GUI, SNMP Monitoring & reporting and more.
