CoroWare (News - Alert) Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CoroWare, announced the availability of CoroCall UCS Communications Server, a telephony, conferencing, and communications appliance with integrated Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) PBX (News - Alert) features.
The new CoroCall UCS Communications Server expands CoroWare's suite of unified collaboration products and services for businesses, according to company officials. It is designed for businesses looking for secure and affordable collaboration solutions.
“CoroWare is committed to offering high quality communications services at prices that businesses and organizations can afford,” said Shanna Gerrard, Enhanced Collaborations Business Unit manager at CoroWare, in a statement. “CoroCall UCS Communications Server offers the communications and collaboration capabilities that enterprise, medium-sized and even small businesses need to help them grow their businesses worldwide.”
Effective collaboration will cut communications costs; improve communications among geographically distributed employees, customers and delivery partners; and increase productivity.
The new communications server features a user-friendly interface and common sense built-in modules that can accommodate special functions like call center queue management. It also has a flexible range of VoIP PBX product line features and capabilities.
The server is designed to enable interface with popular communications devices and is compatible with standard SIP-based IP phones from Polycom (News - Alert), Cisco, Yealink and Snom, company officials said.
Additionally, CoroCall UCS Communications Server includes a simple web management interface that helps administrators quickly add, remove and configure users, conference rooms, fax destinations, and voicemail settings.
“The CoroCall UCS Communications Server and related applications have the much desired features that our customers have been looking for,” said Randall Holt, president of Puka Enterprises, in a statement. “Having fought other PBX systems with 'special' configuration modes and complex procedures, it was gratifying and exciting to install a handset in less than 30 seconds.”
In March, CoroWare announced that it will be supporting Robotics Operating System (ROS), an open-source meta-operating system for mobile robots, on its CoroBot and Explorer product lines.
CoroWare also announced it will launch an ROS early adopter program for developers, educators and researchers who are building applications on the CoroBot and Explorer platforms.
