An Interesting post on VoIP Insider recently said that if you've followed the VoIP Insider or VoIP Supply for any length of time, "you will know that for years we've been servicing a worldwide customer base. While the United States is our primary market, we've always had a strong presence within North America, especially in Canada."
Leaving aside the rather interesting geographical syntax of that last sentence, what the company's saying is "over the years we've kept a close on eye on the Canadian market place through our Canadian VoIP Store, and over the last few months we've made a number of investments to bolster our ability to service the Canadian market."
So in addition to a revamp of our Canadian website, the blog post reveals, "we're happy to announce that VoIP Supply now has a physical presence in Canada. Starting soon orders placed through VoIPSupply (News - Alert).com or CanadianVoIPStore.com will ship from our Canada location."
The reason for this? It will allow Canadian customers "to purchase product in Canadian dollars, avoid shipping delays and customs fees all of which should make purchasing VoIP equipment easier and less expensive."
Last month, TMC (News - Alert) reported that officials with VoIP equipment provider VoIP Supply were pitching the IP 5000 conference phone as a great option for "small conference rooms and executive offices," touting its clarity.
"The Polycom (News - Alert) Soundstation IP 5000 features Polycom HD Voice technology, SIP interoperability, and a modern design that is ideal for smaller rooms at an affordable price," officials said at the time.
The conference phone, a one line SIP phone that boosts Polycom's HD Voice technology, uses the G.722 codec and enhanced hardware features, to make conference calls sound amazingly clear and life-like.
In addition, the Polycom IP5000 has a seven-foot microphone pickup range and small footprint, which is why the vendor is marketing it as a tool for executive offices and small conference rooms with up to six participants.
