Crazy Tom Finishes Back-to-School VoIP Equipment Shopping

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

Parents and students are not the only ones who were busy recently doing back-to-school shopping as Crazy Tom – VoIP Supply’s fictional character charged with finding the latest VoIP equipment deals – is offering a promotion this week on select Skype (News - Alert) products for school.

“Breathe in deep and let the all familiar smells of sharpened pencils and used text books fill your nostrils because schools are back in session,” Crazy Tom wrote in this week’s newsletter. “I don't know whether it is by chance or plan but it seems to me that more college students are choosing schools further away from home than before. To help you keep in touch or check on vital signs, here is a selection of popular Skype products.”

This week, VoIP Supply customers can save 10 percent on select Skype products. The offer is only available for online purchases.

The first product, the Grandstream GXV3140, is a Skype certified IP Video phone which features a 4.3in Color LCD display, integrated Web browser, and RSS feeds for news/weather/stocks and access to Yahoo Flickr web photo album.

The second piece of VoIP equipment being promoted, the FREETALK Everyman, is a state of the art, super wideband audio headset for excellent Skype calls to everyone, everywhere, every time, according to Crazy Tom.

“The Everyman gives you impeccable call quality when you make Skype calls to your friends in Hong Kong or catch up with Grandma in Florida,” he said.

In other VoIP Supply news, since VoIP Supply knows that its customers want the option to expand audio coverage whenever they need it , the company has added new Phoenix Audio VoIP Speakerphones to its family of offerings to accommodate that need.

“VoIP Supply is excited to provide Phoenix Audio’s latest conferencing solutions,” said Garrett Smith (News - Alert), chief marketing officer at VoIP Supply. “Phoenix Audio speakerphones don’t just look great they also pack a lot of advanced features into a small, portable package that maintains Phoenix Audio’s (News - Alert) hallmark user-friendly, plug-and-play philosophy.”

Phoenix Audio’s small footprint speakerphones – which can be used with both PCs and Macs –provide reliable loudspeaker output for any room size. Moreover, the powerful features are not compromised in Phoenix Audio’s lightweight and sleek designs, according to company officials.
