VoIP Equipment: Crazy Tom Promotes Aastra, AudioCodes, Grandstream Deals this Week

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

Another week another deal from “Crazy Tom,” VoIP Supply’s fictional character who scurries around trying to find the latest and greatest VoIP equipment deals.

This week, the fictitious character is promoting free shipping on Aastra phone models, free ground shipping for AudioCodes (News - Alert) and discounts on Grandstream phones.

“Just because you wear a singlet, the word crazy is in your nickname and you have a bit of a crazed look in your eyes people think you are up for anything,” Crazy Tom wrote in his newsletter, talking about his latest deals. “I would like to clarify that this is not true. My bucket list is very short and contains things that will not accelerate my likelihood of kicking the bucket. There really is something to be said for slow and steady.”

“Here are some deals where you can get Free Slow and Steady FedEx Ground,” he added, before listing this week’s deals.

For the first VoIP Supply deal, consumers who purchase the Aastra (News - Alert) 6755i, Aastra 6757i, and Aastra 6739i can enjoy free FedEx ground shipping. The VoIP equipment serves as an executive level phone that supports rich HD voice and a host of standard and advanced IP telephony features.

For those that prefer purchasing AudioCodes MP1XX Gateways, consumers can enjoy free ground shipping on the VoIP gateways. This VoIP equipment provides superior voice technology for connecting legacy telephones; connecting fax machines and PBX (News - Alert) systems with IP-based telephony networks; and integrating with new IP-based PBX systems.

AudioCodes MediaPacks are well suited for commercial VoIP deployment, are used by carriers and service providers, deployed by enterprises to connect their legacy PBX systems over an IP infrastructure, and they increase remote location availability and provide Stand Alone Survivability (SAS (News - Alert)), according to customer officials.

Last week, Crazy Tom spread the word about the Grandstream deals, in which VoIP equipment consumers can save on Grandstream phones with a “Buy X Get Y Free Deal.” For example, buy three phones of the same model and get the fourth for free or buy seven phones and get the eighth one for free.

When I asked Crazy Tom for a little bit more on why he chose the Grandstream phones this week, he said, “So, Carrie, you may be wondering ‘why Grandstream?’ I ask you ‘why not Grandstream?’”

“Have you not seen their GXV3175 with a seven-inch color touch screen LCD or heard their new HD phones?” he asked. “They almost have as many options of phones as there are breeds of chickens. My personal favorite from Grandstream is the Skype (News - Alert) compatible GXV3140 and my favorite breed of chicken is the Appenzeller Spitzhauben.”
