Phybridge UniPhyer Offers Graceful Migration, No Risk

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

In a bid to help users more gracefully migrate to VoIP without the risks of business and network disruptions, Ontario-based Phybridge (News - Alert) Inc. offers a VoIP enabler solution that uses Power over Ethernet.

By removing the need to have an optimized converged network, the UniPhyer also helps cut down on costs – a key in today’s economic climate.

To remove risks, the UniPhyer utilizes existing infrastructure – allowing customers to test and tweak their new solution so they can ensure complete satisfaction before rolling it out.

Also, by leveraging the existing telephony infrastructure, migration can be graceful because the user is in full control of the deployment.

One large financial services company in Canada with two subsidiaries was able to use the UniPhyer to move 40 of 200 users on three floors to IP with no disruptions.

One subsidiary used the UC applications they had available and with a controlled convergence option, successfully deployed IP phones without experiencing a single dropped call or call quality issue since.

“We were blown away with the simplicity of deploying the UniPhyer and Mitel (News - Alert) IP Phones. The robustness of the UniPhyer platform is impressive, not a single voice quality issue or dropped call in over 250 days since deployment.” Said the Director of IT at the financial services company.

“Can’t say the same for a sister company that used the traditional voice on data method of convergence. They are now interested in learning more about the UniPhyer solution”
