If your business is looking to make use of VoIP you'll want to check out the Phybridge (News - Alert) UniPhyer.
It's the philosophy of Phybridge officials that technology "should enable your business and not burden it with complexity, costs, and dependencies." Sounds common-sense, right? It is - but you'd be amazed how often technology becomes the focus, rather than the tool. You want to avoid that when it comes to VoIP.
"Your world is about justifying a return on investment," and then using it without worry to get work done, Phybridge officials say, not about spending as much as you can on technology. Tech vendors' worlds are about selling you stuff and getting you locked in.
Phybridge officials seek to change that, offering what they call "easy to deploy, easy to manage, robust and reliable" technology, letting customers use existing voiceinfrastructures to create a separate network path for voice communications. Other network switches on the market, Phybridge officials say, tend to require "convergence at multiple locations throughout an organization."
In fact, last September Phybridge officials said "The data switch industry created the paradigm of layering real-time voice onto a distributed data LAN built for near-time delivery, underestimating the complexities and challenges for both partners and customers.”
This, they say, means that the existing data switch industry players have “no interest” in changing this state of affairs, since, as Phybridge officials put it, “in many cases they have a significant advantage when selling their IP telephony offering given the dependency on LAN changes required.”
Phybridge officials break down what they see as the advantages of their offering:
Lower Total Cost of Ownership. Phybridge technology is designed with the goal of reducing deployment costs, as well as ongoing management costs, company officials contend.
?Low Risk, Quick And Easy to Deploy. Phybridge uses a plug and play deployment strategy, which means customers can migrate fairly quickly to IP Telephony with a minimum of the hassle and down time during the switchover.
Optimized Converged Local Area Network. This means there's one point of convergence, giving what Phybridge officials describe as more "robust, reliable and secure topology" for IP phones and good voice quality.
Simple Network Management. The way company officials explain it, the physical separation of voice traffic "eliminates the complexities of managing a LAN topology when ever-changing voice, video, and data traffic share a single path." Your IT staff have an easier time managing the network as well.?
