ITEXPO Session Preview: How to Make Money Selling VoIP

By Mae Kowalke, TMCnet Senior Editor

Voice over IP (VoIP) has been around for a few years now, but there’s still time to jump on board selling this potentially very lucrative service while the market is still new. In seeking to make money selling VoIP, some lessons from the larger telecom market can be helpful—and some of the techniques are new like VoIP itself.
Generating revenue from VoIP service is the topic of a Reseller Solutions Day session, “Learn How to Make Money Selling VoIP,” at INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO West 2007 in September.
This session will be led by Don Gant, vice president of business development and channel marketing, and representatives from Technology Marketing Corporation, ABP (News - Alert) Technology, Inc., and Interactive Intelligence. These presenters will draw on more than 25 years experience in the telecom market to share with attendees tips for creating attractive VoIP offerings and how to sell VoIP as an add-on for existing infrastructure.
To attend this session (scheduled for Monday, September 10, 2007 from 9:00-90:45 a.m.), register to attend ITEXPO. While at the show, also be sure to check out the booths for Iwatsu (News - Alert) (925), Interactive Intelligence (#514 and CC138), and ABP Technology (#513).
While waiting for the show to start, you can learn more about selling VoIP by visiting the following channels on TMCnet.com: Unified Communications (sponsored by Iwatsu), IP Phone System (sponsored by Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert)) and VoIP Contact Center (sponsored by Interactive Intelligence).

What’s the best resource to learn about latest trends in the IP communications industry? Why, INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, of course. ITEXPO West 2007 is just around the corner—this year it’s being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California, Sept. 10-12. Register here. Preview sessions, speakers and exhibitors.
