If you are a company looking to install or enhance your communications services, chances are you’ve heard the name HDN, Inc. (short for High-Tech Digital Networks). Founded in 1992, HDN began as a reseller of pre-owned telecommunications equipment, but since that time, HDN has grown to become a top Voice over IP (VoIP) and WAN integration company, specializing in telephony and data solutions.
Recently, I had the chance to speak with Steve A. Kovacs of HDN to learn a bit more about the company and what it does. Breaking down its services, Kovacs explained that HDN works with Cisco Systems for data services, ADTRAN for channel banks, and in 2009, the company became an Allworx (News - Alert) reseller for VoIP phone system platforms. Today, about 90 percent of HDN’s business is through Allworx, and in the last three years, HDN has been the third-largest reseller for Allworx in the country and world. As such, HDN is an Allworx Apex (News - Alert) Partner—which stands for “authorized partner of excellence.”
“We’re the go-to guys for Allworx,” Kovacs said, “in the country and in Southern California.” HDN serves all kinds of clients, both in the States and internationally. StubHub and the Magento division of eBay (News - Alert), for instance, are big customers of HDN’s services. Just last week, Kovacs pointed out, he activated a phone system in Australia for a client.
Along with diverse clients, HDN offers diverse services, which include everything from WAN and Internet service designs and installations, to cabling, to voice and data convergence, and network management. In the last five months, HDN also became a WatchGuard firewall reseller, and the company handles all kinds of voice systems, such as iPhone (News - Alert) systems. Amid all these services, however, one key offering is call recording and call accounting technology from SIP Print. As part of any communications system, call recording is an immensely beneficial feature that can assist in compliance assurance, agent training, and so on.
“We’ve been purchasing and using [SIP Print’s (News - Alert)] equipment since 2010,” Kovacs said. “SIP Print provides an easy-to-use interface for our customers to record calls 24/7.” SIP Print’s services not only integrate well with Allworx systems, but they are also competitively priced. Kovacs explained that HDN recommends SIP Print to all its clients as the most cost effective call recording option. SIP Print offers excellent customer service, and HDN couldn’t be happier with it.
Looking to the horizon, Kovacs added that his company is excited for SIP Print’s next big push in an upcoming software update.
