Sipera Systems has revealed an upcoming free webinar conducted in partnership with Comstor, the Cisco-dedicated business unit of Westcon Group, to highlight techniques for streamlined and secure adoption of SIP trunks.
Westcon Group (News - Alert) is a value added distributor of category-leading unified communications, infrastructure and security solutions with a global network of specialty resellers. The company's Comstor (News - Alert) business unit is a provider of all Cisco networking, collaboration and data center solutions.
For resellers of Comstor, webinar will cover topics such as how to help enterprises to adopt SIP trunks with faster and simpler configuration while minimizing security concerns that can slow down projects.
In addition, this webinar will also discuss trends in session initiation protocol (SIP) trunk adoption and considerations for taking advantage of cost-effective SIP trunk offerings to maximize the benefits of voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) deployments.
SIP trunks are seen as cost-effective and flexible new trunking options for companies that aim to keep telecoms costs in check, and adopt innovations like VoIP and unified communications, said company officials.
Sipera’s (News - Alert) E-SBC and UC-Sec appliances terminate SIP trunks. In addition, they also provide enterprises with enhanced control and flexibility for their trunking services, and advanced application-layer security.
Company officials said that the company’s solutions are tested and pre-integrated with Cisco (News - Alert) VoIP products including Cisco Unified Communications Manager and support a broad range of Cisco IP phones.
The Comstor and Sipera webinar is scheduled to be held on July 18, 2011, at Noon, Europe Summer Time, 11 a.m. BST.
Earlier in April, Sipera Systems (News - Alert) entered into a partnership with Future Com to better secure enterprise unified communications.
