Small businesses around the world are becoming more and more dependent on cutting the phone cord. There are a number of different reasons why companies have started to look at VoIP as their first choice and ISPs are hearing the clarion call on a large scale. Wireless Nation is one such ISP that is jumping into the VoIP market with both feet. The company recently announced the launch of the Smart SOHO. This is a brand new VoIP phone service and unlimited broadband bundle that is specifically geared toward small business customers.
Hundreds of thousands of businesses around the world fall into the Small Office/Home office category. This group is defined as any business that has 10 or less employees. These companies, more than any other, are looking to adopt VoIP phone services simply because it allows for more flexibility when dealing with a phone line.
Wireless Nation claims that their package is the most desirable when talking about small businesses because they are simply able to charge less for the same kind of package. Wireless Nation believes that the adoption of these packages will also be attractive, because some smaller businesses simply don’t understand just how much this kind of a package can help.
"When you talk about VoIP technology, most people think of Skype (News - Alert) and many recount dubious experiences with audio quality when voice and data traffic compete for the same bandwidth. Because Wireless Nation’s VoIP calls go through a dedicated bandwidth pipe within our core network to a cloud Internet Protocol PABX, voice calls are prioritized over other data, so voice quality doesn’t suffer with an increase in network congestion," Tom Linn, Technical Director of Wireless Nation, said in a recent release. "We believe that the technology has matured to deliver the reliability required by business users, and they simply don’t need to fork out for traditional landlines and a dedicated PABX anymore."
VoIP technology has matured to the point where small businesses see it as a boon, but larger businesses want the technology as well. More call centers than ever before have decided that VoIP usage is the way to go. There is simply more flexibility and ease of use with VoIP. It’s telling when a firm that makes its money through use of a telephone has turned to IP solutions.
